In order to respond to newly emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, the Center for Epidemic Preparedness (CEP) researches virology and immunology of newly emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, develops technologies for prophylactic vaccines and therapeutics, and establishes platforms for these technologies. CEP also serves as a hub for convergence research on newly emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases within KAIST.
